Day 01: Arrival Chennai
On your arrival at Chennai, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. After fresh up, enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour of Chennai. Visit the famous National Art Gallery, Fort St. George, built by the British in 1653. The fort houses St. Mary's Church, the oldest Anglican Church (1678-80) in India and Fort Museum. Now, it also houses the Tamil Nadu Government Secretariat. Thereafter, enjoy a drive along the Marina Beach and visit the famous Mylapore Temple. Overnight stay at the hotel in Chennai.
Day 02: Chennai-Mahabalipuram-Kanchipuram/Chennai
After breakfast, enjoy a full day excursion to Mahabalipuram. Mahabalipuram is one of the holiest cities in India, known as the city of a thousand temples. In Mahabalipuram, visit Arjuna's Penance, Varaha Mandapam, Krishna Mandapam, the Bhagavatham, Five Rathas and the Shore Temple. Then we proceed to Kanchipuram. In Kanchipuram, visit Ekambareswars Temple, Sri Kamakshi Amman Temple, Sri Kailashnath Temple, Sri Vaikuntha Perumal Temple, and Sri Varuaduraja Temple etc.
Kanchipuram is also famous for its Silk Sarees and materials. Return to Chennai in the evening for an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 03: Chennai-Bangalore
After breakfast, morning transfer to railway station to board the superfast train Shatabdi Exp. to Bangalore- 06.00/11.00Hrs (Daily except Tuesday). Meet upon arrival and transfer to hotel.
Later, Enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour of Bangalore. Visit the Vidhan Soudha, the major attraction in Bangalore. Situated at the northwestern end of Cubbon Park, this massive granite neo-Dravidian style building, built in 1954, is one of the finest and most imposing architectural masterpieces in Bangalore. It houses the Secretariat and the state Legislature. Later, visit the Lal Bagh Botanical Gardens, famous for the wonderfully bloomed red roses. Thereafter, visit the 18th century Tipu Sultan's Fort & Palace, and the16th century Bull Temple Evening is free for shopping and own personal activities. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 04: Bangalore-Srirangapatnam-Mysore
After breakfast, we drive to Mysore, en-route visiting Srirangapatnam, the summer palace of Tipu Sultan.
Srirangapatnam: Now visible in ruins only, it was once the capital of Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan, from where they ruled much of southern India during the 18th century. Srirangapatnam is situated in a long picturesque island in the Cauvery River. There isn't much left of it since the British did a good job of demolishing the palace, but ramparts and battlements and some of the gates still stand. The dungeon where Tipu held a number of British officers has been preserved. There is also a Mosque and a temple 'the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple' inside the fortress walls. Check in to the hotel on your arrival in Mysore.
Enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour of Mysore.
Mysore: The city's quaint charm, rich heritage, magnificent palaces, imposing buildings, broad shady avenues, sacred temples and beautifully laid-out gardens have always fascinated its visitor. The city's architectural heritage and its long-held tradition of music and dance, art and literature were nurtured under the royal patronage. The palaces and temples around the city speak volumes about heritage and architecture of the medieval times and the kind of patronage the city received from its rulers. Visit the famous Mysore Palace, the Sri Chamundeswari Temple overlooking Mysore from the 1,062m high summit of Chamundi Hill. A towering 7-storey, 40m high gopuram, dominates the Chamundeswari Temple.
In the evening, visit Brindavan Garden, the tranquil ornamental gardens laid out below the immense Krishna raja Sagar Dam and a popular picnic spots famous for its illuminated fountains. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 05: Mysore-Ooty
After breakfast, we drive to Ooty, one of the finest hill resorts in India. Situated in the heart of the Nilgiris (Blue Mountain) at an altitude of 7,500 ft. above sea level, Ooty is a golfer's paradise. Check in to hotel on arrival. Evening at leisure. Enjoy strolling around local bazaars. Overnight at your hotel in Ooty.
Day 06: Ooty
After breakfast explore the natural beauty of Ooty.
Ooty: Nestled amidst the scenic hills of Dodabetta, Snowdon, Elk Hill, and Club Hill in the Nilgiri mountain ranges, Ooty is known as the queen of south Indian hill stations and a popular tourist destination of Tamil Nadu. In 1799, this hilly region came under the control of the British East India Company. The British established Ooty to serve as the summer headquarters of the Madras government. A government house was built and keeping in tune with English lifestyle, the British set up cottages and clubs, with facilities for Tennis, Golf and horse riding.
Drive up to the Dodabetta Peak that offers fascinating views of the surroundings plains and hills. Later, visit the Botanical Garden and the Fun City, an ideal tourist spot besides being a source of information about region's flora. In the evening, enjoy an exciting and enjoyable boat riding and canoeing. Overnight stay at your hotel in Ooty.
Day 07: Ooty-Mysore Chennai- Tour Ends
After breakfast, we depart from the rolling down and hidden greens of the scenic Ooty. Drive to Mysore and board the Shatabdi train to return back to Chennai-14.20/21.25Hrs. On arrival at Chennai, our representatives will meet and transfer you to a hotel for an overnight stay. In the morning on time transfer to the airport to board a flight for your onward destination.
