Day 01: Arrival Bhutan - Paro
Arrival at Paro Airport by Druk air BAE 146-100 series, the only national carrier of Bhutan. Enjoy breathtaking views of mountains and landscapes while flying and landing at the airport. After visa formalities at the airport, you will met our representatives and transfer to Kichu Resort. If time permits enjoy a sightseeing tour of Paro. Evening at leisure. Relax at the Resort or stroll around the market. Overnight stay will be in the resort at Paro.
Day 02: Paro-Thimphu
Enjoy morning sightseeing tour of Paro. Visit the strategically located ruined fortress of Drugyel Dzong, known for its rock-solid defensive structure. The Fort defended the Paro valley from the Tibetan invasion from the north in the early 17th century. On clear weather, you can enjoy an enchanting view of Mount Chomolhari (7,320 m) that appears like towering over the Dzong. Proceed through the scenic valley to arrive at National Museum, which houses an amazing watchtower, locally known as Ta-Dzong. The tower was housed into the National Museum in the 1960's by the third King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. The 7- floors Museum showcases various aspects of Bhutanese culture and history dating back to the 7th century AD. Later visit the Rinpung Dzong, situated at a walking distance downhill. Rinpung Dzong serves as the administrative center and school for monks.
In the late afternoon, we will drive to Thimphu (65 Kms -2 hours), the capital city of Bhutan. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay will be at Hotel River view or similar.
Day 03: Thimphu
Enjoy a memorable sightseeing tour of Thimphu. Visit the Memorial Chorten built in 1974 in the memory of the late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck (who died in 1972). Later visit the 15th century Changangkha Monastery and the new Drupthob Nunnery Temple. In the late afternoon, we drive to Wangdi Phodrang (3 hours drive) crossing the picturesque Dochula Pass (3,100 m). On fine weather you can see the majestic eastern Himalayan ranges including the Mt.Gangar Punsum (7,520 m), the highest mountain ranges in Bhutan. The drive from the pass is all the way downhill dropping to the lower and warmer valleys of Lobesa. Visit the Wangdue Phodrang Dzong from outside and the market area. Wangdue Phodrang Festival is an added attraction of this beautiful town. Overnight stay will be at Kichu Resort in Wangdue Phodrang.
 Day 04: Thimphu-Punakha-Paro
In the morning, we drive to Punakha (45 minutes) to visit the famous Punakha Dzong, which served as the old capital of Bhutan. Built between two rivers, this remarkable fortress has survived many glacial floods and fire. A colorful procession, known as the Punakha Serda, is taken out every year during the month of February to commemorate the Bhutanese victory over the Tibetans.
Thereafter, we drive back to Thimphu for lunch and later proceed to Paro. En-route, visit the magnificent Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fort in Bhutan. The Dzong now houses a famous Buddhist university of Bhutan. Arrive at Paro. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay will be at Kichu Resort in Paro.
Day 05 Paro - Departure
On time transfer to the airport to board a flight for your onward destination or way back home.
